SunnyRidge Farm established its operations in Chile in 1999. And in 2002, SunnyRidge opened its first permanent production and relations office in Santiago. Carlos Ferrer, our local executive, manages our day to day operations and business relationships with our family of Chilean exporters and growers. The office is also in charge of coordinating shipments and ensuring that berries are packed to meet our customer needs and SunnyRidge Farm’s quality standards.
By partnering with the top local export companies, SunnyRidge Chile already represents approximately 15% of the Chilean blueberry market. |

In addition to adding more quality-minded growers, SunnyRidge continues to pioneer innovative methods of increasing the quality and reliability of our berry production through new varieties, cultural practices and a sharing of our knowledge of growing that we have learned from our other regions. We pursue new efficiencies in logistics though advances in container and air shipments, as well.
It is apparent that SunnyRidge Farm’s trademark innovation, flexibility and reliability translate well, for the future of the South American berry looks bright indeed.

Viveros SunnyRidge, based in Melipilla, was established in April 2006 in partnership with managing director Marcela Zuniga.
SunnyRidge Farm’s nursery operation is dedicated to the sale and propagation of berry plants, with a goal of enhancing the quality and production of berries, by introducing new plant varieties optimally adapted to the Chilean soil and climate.
In addition to selling and propagating plant varieties that are traditional to the area, SunnyRidge Farm also owns the proprietary rights to commercialize and propagate the University of Florida varieties in Chile, including those released in 1996, 1998, 2002 and 2005. These varieties are protected and registered with the Agricultural Department of Chile.
